Bangladesh Association for Energy Economics
The Bangladesh Association for Energy Economics, BDAEE, is founded in Dhaka on February 1, 2018, as the Bangladeshi affiliate of the International Association of Energy Economics (IAEE). After the successful completion of the first South Asian IAEE-NSU Energy Summit 2017 (held at North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh), two former presidents of IAEE Professor Ricardo Raineri and Professor Gürkan Kumbaroğlu took the initiative to establish BDAEE. Following the IAEE bylaws, 3 faculty members from North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh and 1 leading energy entrepreneur from SOLshare Limited got the mandates to run the BDAEE for 2 years. It is a non-profit professional organisation which provides an ideal platform aimed at promoting networking for the exchange of ideas on the crucial energy sector issues among the diverse professionals from academia, industry and the government. This organisation is open for all individuals who have a common interest in the energy economics. To fulfill the goals, BDAEE plans to organise BDAEE inaugural Energy Lecture, BDAEE-IAEE Energy Summit, BDAEE-IAEE international energy conference, BDAEE student research workshop, and to publish an annual energy bulletin.
